Following yesterday’s fish-less experience it was back to the ‘never-fail’ tackle and techniques. Out come the mackerel feathers! We tried around a few likely headlands and bays, and got straight into the first mackerel of the year. I took a few at anchor too, which I can’t remember ever doing before.
I was hoping for some rays too, but only found a couple of dogfish. This clearly isn’t a ray mark. More research needed.
