I’m Leigh Harries, occasional writer, photographer and fisherman. I’m originally from Pembrokeshire in Wales, and this origin is reflected in my love of both sea fishing and game fishing, and my ignorance of (yet passing interest in) coarse fishing.
Now based in London, my blog records my fishing trips in the UK and overseas whenever I can smuggle a travel rod into the suitcase. With no particular allegiance to any discipline or techniques, there’ll be posts on attempts to catch a variety of species with a variety of methods.
Rather than just posting ‘highlights’ of my fishing year, I write up a review of every trip whether successful or not; sharing the good times along with the blanks. The blow-by-blow records of each fishing trip may not be of interest to everyone, but I faithfully record what worked and, just as importantly, what didn’t. A good fisherman never stops learning; this diary is to help me – and others stopping by – to continuously improve.
Leigh.
